What is CPD?

SHRI plays a key role in the continuous education and training of healthcare professionals. As an accredited National Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Provider by the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka, we are committed to elevating professional standards and improving healthcare delivery.

Continuous Medical Education (CME) Programmes Since 2021, SHRI has been organizing CME programmes tailored for Medical Officers. Our flagship initiative includes weekly online CME webinars held every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. To date, we have conducted over 250 uninterrupted sessions, benefiting more than 1000 Medical Officers across various specialties throughout the country. This series the first of its kind in Sri Lanka has garnered highly positive feedback from both participants and expert lecturers, including national and international professionals.

Thousands of healthcare professionals trained annually, contributing to improved healthcare service delivery across Sri Lanka. All webinars are recorded and uploaded to SHRI’s YouTube channel (SHRI Academy / SHRI Knowledge Academy) for further learning and accessibility.

Who can participate in the CPD programmes?

All registered Medical Officers in Sri Lanka can participate in SHRI’s CPD sessions, regardless of specialty.

How are the CPD sessions delivered?

Sessions are delivered online via webinars every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with some workshops conducted in-person.

Which specialties are covered?

Specialties include Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Surgery, Paediatrics, and many more.

Are CPD credits provided?

Yes. Participants receive certification for CPD credits recognized by the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka.

Are the sessions recorded?

Yes. All webinars are recorded and uploaded to SHRI’s YouTube channels (SHRI Academy / SHRI Knowledge Academy) for further learning and accessibility.
